UrbanArt Biennale 2011 - 2019
The UrbanArt Biennale at the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site
Every two years, the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site’s UrbanArt Biennale® showcases the most recent developments and trends in international urban art. It is the largest urban art project in the world. More than 400,000 people have visited the biennale since it was first held in 2011, and nearly 300 renowned urban artists, including Banksy, Shepard Fairey and Futura, have exhibited their work at Völklinger Hütte.
The Fifth UrbanArt Biennale® 2019 Unlimited presented 100 artists | 120 works | 20 countries | 4 continents across 100,000 square metres of exhibition space. In so doing, it provides an up-to-date overview of the global urban art scene.
In 2021, the UrbanArt Biennale was moved to 2022 for corona reason.
